The SES SeaBug Camera system is a versatile underwater inspection system that can operate to 2000m water depth over a coaxial cable up to 6000m long.
The system utilizes the innovative SES Multiport DTS digital telemetry link to provide power and bi-directional control to all subsea instrumentation housed on the custom SeaBug frame. At the heart of the system is a high resolution 14 Mega Pixel Digital Camera which has a wide range of adjustable parameters that can be controlled on the “fly” via any PC running SES’s proprietary camera software. A significant feature of the camera system is the ability to upload and view high definition captured images within moments of exposure without the need to recover the Sea Bug frame. High Power switchable underwater LED lamps and a high intensity flash module are also fitted to the SeaBug to enhance seabed imagery. Further sensors such as sound velocity, motion sensor, altimeter and depth sensor can be integrated via dedicated high speed RS232 and RS485 com ports to offer system flexibility. A SES Video Overlay Unit can be provided to decode and display GGA strings as well as client specific text to complete the package.
